By Alex Meyer:   Like last weekend only two of us headed down to this weekend’s MTB race.  Sam Dries and I left Madison on Friday afternoon and got to Columbia, MO about 11:30.  We again stayed in a host house with the president of the Mizzou Cycling Club.  After hanging out with our hosts for a bit we went to bed. Saturday morning we woke up early and got breakfast at IHOP… They have unlimited pancakes.  Well played IHOP well played.  We got to the race about an hour and a half early got a pre ride lap in and got to the line.  I went first is the A’s.  There were 20 of us in one of the more competitive fields of the year.  After a good start and a trouble free race I came in 5th not too far behind some really fast guys.  Then Sam went in the B’s and killed it.  He was leading the race when he double flatted and had to drop out… Like last week Saturday night was awesome. Sunday we woke up shortly before race start and rushed over, both of us sporting sharpie tattoos from the night before.  I went first in the A’s again in a super strong field.  I had a great start and was riding really well.  On the last lap I had 4th locked up and not going anywhere. ...
